The ‘Shakya’ brocade sari in indigo features motifs inspired by intricate Neoclassical designs, including winged mythical creatures and a central angelic figure often referred to as a ‘cupid’ or ‘putto’. Elsewhere, pairs of figures flank a central oval emblem, bringing together the ornamental details of these architectural forms. It is finished with an indigo fall.
This textile may reflect natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.
