After the Flowers
Raw Mango - Summer 2024
Flowers bloom in fleeting moments, announcing the beloved arrival of Spring.
Through restrained beading and threadwork, graphic motifs draw from the Sakura and handwoven silk brocades cluster, often forming crescent-shaped blossoms. Set against the peaks of Dharamsala’s Kangra Valley, silhouettes find ease in the principles of wabi-sari and fukinsei, allowing for balance between asymmetry and the ebb and flow of imperfection. Contrasting gulabi pairs with maroon, lime with black and colors seems to transition between moments of now and then.
