Originally a turban craft rooted in the celebration of monsoon, Laheriya is a tie-dye tradition from Rajasthan. The animation inherent in dyed stripes results in a sense of movement akin to rainfall.
‘Jalore’ black silk sari features lime stripes in a daigonal or 'adiya' (from the word 'adha' meaning askew) layout. It is punctuated with floral butas drawing from archival Rajasthani textiles, embroidered in black.
This textile may reflect natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.
The sari is paired here with the 'Zopa' blouse.
