‘Jalaja’ maroon Varanasi silk brocade kurta features blooming Anar Phool (pomegranate flower) motifs that are drawn from our archival textile from late 18th century called “Gulnaar”.
The brocade is woven through the Phekwa technique wherein the weft remains embedded in the warp, interlaced from selvedge to selvedge, creating surface textures of the base or zamin.
It is paired with ‘Adrisa’ satin silk churidar.

Odhani worn by the model is not included.

Model is 176cm/5'8" and is wearing a size Small kurta and pants. Fits true to size.

Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile.
