‘Iraj’ kurta and ‘Ahilya’ sharara in Varanasi silk brocade with blooming Anar Phool (pomegranate flower) motifs that is drawn from our archival textile from late 18th century called “Gulnaar”.
The brocade is woven through the Phekwa technique wherein the weft remains embedded in the warp, interlaced from selvedge to selvedge, creating surface textures of the base or zamin.


Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile.
