‘Gonarda' Varanasi silk brocade sari is woven with gold zari and black silk. Echoing the marble inlay work seen in Mughal architecture, the border is embroidered in zardozi, along with silver and gold gota appliqué — speaking to the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb of the Awadh.
