The peacock, a central motif, dances amidst graphic lines of textile and embroidery. Interpreted from folk, its form and layout draws from oral traditions, representing the importance of this language, one unstudied yet significant.
‘Chirmi’ red ‘bandhej’ (bandhini) odhani features graphic embroidered peacock motifs in ‘aari’ embroidery and ‘sitara’ border.
Outfit worn by the model is not included.
Natural variations in colours and weave are part of the textile, as it is handwoven.
Made to Order: This odhani is made to order. Standard production time is 7-8 weeks.
Dry Clean only. Store garment in a muslin cloth away from sunlight in a dry environment. Air the textile every few months.
