From time immemorial, India has been the pioneer of weaving the exquisite cotton fabrics. Even the oldest civilizations of the world were unfamiliar with the cotton plant; in fact, they mistook it for a plant that produced wool. The delicate, shiny, complex weaving and superior excellence of the fabric produced from the Indian cotton left the world wonderstruck. The virtues of this beautiful fabric are often referred to as, light as the air, strong as the sun, flowing like the wind, soft as dew, opaque as smoke, cool as the moonlight and subtle as running water. India has a long-standing culture and history of spectacular cotton, it is to this glorious tradition that Raw Mango dedicates its saris.
