Shaher is a collective endeavour of Raw Mango by Hema Shroff Patel, who was born in the US but has lived in Mumbai for almost half her life.
This collection is a juxtaposition of her exciting, busy, chaotic and overwhelming life in Mumbai and the more pristine, peaceful, and predictable life of Maheshwar, in the heart of Madhya Pradesh.
The etched designs on the grey stones of forts, temples and ripples of Narmada river compelled to relook at patterns with exaggerated scale, layout and colours, making it distinctively modern and contemporary.
